Roderick Styles was born in 1959 and educated at Dollar Academy. He graduated from Strathclyde University with an LLB Degree in 1980 and a Diploma in Legal Practice in 1981. He completed his traineeship with Messrs MacLay, Murray and Spens, solicitors in Glasgow and Edinburgh. He joined Walker & Sharpe in November 1983 and became a partner in October 1986. He practises in domestic, commercial and agricultural conveyancing. He is Clerk to Nith District Salmon Fishery Board and has a special interest in Game Fisheries Law.
 
David R S Finnie

David Finnie was born in 1961 and was educated at Dumfries Academy. Thereafter, he graduated from Strathclyde University with LLB (Hons) and a Diploma in Legal Practice in 1983. He completed his traineeship in Glasgow, and then returned to Dumfries, where he became a partner with Gillespie, Gifford & Brown. David joined Walker & Sharpe as a partner in February 1998. He practises in criminal law and road traffic law.

Lister McKiddie was born in 1967. He was educated at Madras College in St Andrews and, thereafter, at Dundee University. He graduated with an LLB in 1988 and a Diploma in Legal Practice. He completed his traineeship with McArthur Stanton, solicitors, Helensburgh. He joined Walker & Sharpe in 1991 and became a partner in 1994. He practises in civil court work and family law.

Neil Webster was born in 1972 and educated at Beeslack High School in Penicuik. He graduated LLB (Hons) in 1994 from Edinburgh University and obtained a Diploma in Legal Practice in 1995. He trained for two years with Messrs Russell & Aitken in Denny. Neil has a wealth of experience in property related matters, having practised locally in and around Dumfries since 1997. Neil joined Walker & Sharpe in 2002 and became a partner in 2006.

Arthur Milton was born in 1959. He was educated at Jordanhill School in Glasgow, Eastwood High School in Newton Mearns, and Glasgow University. He graduated LLB (Hons) in 1980 and served a two-year apprenticeship with Mackenzie Robertson & Co, solicitors, Glasgow. He has been a senior assistant with Walker & Sharpe since 1997. Although he has a familiarity with most aspects of chamber practice, his special expertise lies in wills, trusts, executries and tax.

Graham Law was born in 1961 and educated at Bannerman High School, Glasgow. He graduated from Strathclyde University with an LLB degree in 1981 and gained his Diploma in Legal Practice in 1982. He completed his traineeship in Hamilton and moved to Dumfries in 1985. Graham became a partner in Hewats, Castle Douglas in 1986 thereafter joining Austins, Dalbeattie, where he was assumed as a partner in 1992. Graham left Austins in 2015 to join Walker and Sharpe as a Consultant. He practices in conveyancing, wills trusts and executries and has an interest in elderly client care.

Carolyn Priestley was born in 1985 and educated at Dumfries Academy. She graduated LLB (Hons) in 2007 from the University of Glasgow and obtained a Diploma in Legal Practice in 2008. She trained for two years with the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, practising in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dumfries, where she then worked as a qualified Procurator Fiscal Depute until joining Walker & Sharpe in 2012. She graduated BA (Hons) History and Politics in 2002 from the University of Strathclyde. She later returned to the University of Strathclyde and graduated from the accelerated LLB course, obtaining a Diploma in Legal Practice in 2010. She trained for two years with the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, in Edinburgh, Dumfries and Paisley, until joining Walker & Sharpe in August 2013.
